NEW DELHI: Amid rising instances of Covid in the country, the common avionics controller DGCA on Wednesday gave new rules for air travelers and made facial coverings required at all air terminals and inside the flights. In its new rules, the DGCA said that those travelers who don’t wear covers on the flight can be treated as ‘rowdy’.
The common flying controller further cautioned that such travelers will be eliminated from the airplane before flight assuming that they are found without a facial covering and not following COVID-suitable way of behaving.
Giving subtleties, the common flight controller DGCA said the CISF staff will be responsible for upholding cover rules at the air terminals.
The new DGCA rules came days after the Delhi High Court requested it to take an extreme line against travelers who will not follow Covid wellbeing standards.
In its request for June 3, the high court called for severe activity, seeing that the pandemic isn’t finished at this point. “Assuming that the traveler will not follow convention regardless of updates, move ought to be made under wellbeing service or DGCA rules,” it said.
They can be truly taken out, put on a “no-fly” list or be given over to security offices for additional activity, the court said. “The issuance of said request, in our view, is the right advance since the pandemic has not lessened and continues to jump up its revolting head,” the court noticed.
